Listen to Patience, the new single from Tame Impala

It's the first piece of new work from Kevin Parker and co. since their 2015 album Currents.

We've been absolutely frothing at the mouth for new Tame Impala for a while now, with the Kevin Parker teasing new music from the band for much of the last few months. In saying that, however, the time between Currents' 2015 release and now hasn't been exactly quiet, with Kevin releasing its companion B-Sides & Remixes EP - offering a better look at Currents' creation and his thought processes at the time - while also releasing collaborations and co-writes over the years with Mark Ronson, Lady Gaga, ZHU, Theophilus London, Travis Scott and heaps more.

Today, we've finally received the first taste of the long-awaited follow-up to Currents, with the release of its first single - Patience - arriving today ahead of a slot at Saturday Night Live next weekend, Coachella in April, Glastonbury and Bonnaroo, plus DJ sets from Kevin Parker and Tame Impala band-mate Jay Watson in Perth tonight.  It's a swirling slice of that signature Tame Impala charm that gets us damn excited for the album's full release (it's expected this Winter), with an upbeat piano melody and Parker's soft croon winning us over once again, so dive into it below and stay tuned for more hopefully not too far away.
