Premiere: Hang in a fuzzed-out junk yard in the clip for High Tropics' debut single, 15 Years

A throwback to 2000s indie-rock, with some garagey goodness thrown in for good measure.

High Tropics is the fuzz-filled brainchild of South African-born Josh Stewart (formerly of The Ninjas), and 15 Years is their debut single. Recorded and produced by Stewart, it comes replete with a wonderful DIY vibe that still sounds great, which is in part thanks to mixing courtesy of Magoo (Powderfinger, Regurgitator). Kinda like old school The Strokes mixed with current day Violent Soho, it's all fuzzy guitars, driving bass and thumping drums. Elegant in its simplicity, 15 Years is cracking debut from a band we reckon are gonna do some very good things, very quickly, on the Aussie rock'n'roll scene.
