Gang Of Youths share a powerful new single, The Deepest Sighs, The Frankest Shadows

Another taste of their highly anticipated sophomore album has landed, and yep, it’s no short of incredible.

It’s so close, we can almost taste it. In just under two weeks time, Gang Of Youths will have released their sophomore record Go Farther In Lightness and not for a second have pondered a notion of the possible infamous “sophomore slump” because this thing is sound by a length - powerful. Only a matter of a month or so ago we were given the infectious Let Me Down Easy and today the band have shared perhaps the final taste before the August 18th release of their new album with a new single titled The Deepest Sighs, The Frankest Shadows. It’s big, bold and by reports, an absolute weapon in their live show. The Deepest Sighs, The Frankest Shadows is Gang Of Youths through and through. It’s great songwriting with a tongue for letting all your worries go and getting all that built up frustration out of your system. As the the song builds to its grand first chorus, frontman Dave Le’aupepe pleads “'Coz not everything means something honey, So say the unsayable, Say the most human of things”.

Accompanying the release of their new single, the band have also shared an incredible visual for the song. Directed by Dan & Jared Daperis of LateNite Films through a single shot with the assistance of drone, the video clip shows Dave as a convict escaping in the early morning, as the sun rises through fields. Check it out below:

In support of their forthcoming record, Gang Of Youths are hitting the road around the country with their Go Farther In Lightness tour kicking off later this month. Bringing the ever so talented Gordi along, dates and where you can catch the band can be seen below, but for further information head on over here.
