Exclusive: Listen to Heavy Dream, the exciting new EP from Perth shoegazers BLOOMS

At once nostalgic and forward thinking, a new player enters Perth's indie scene.

A good two years after BLOOMS released their first single in October 2015, BLOOMS have emerged from a grungey haze with an exciting new three-track EP, Heavy Dream. Evolving out of the Perth alt/hardcore scene, the project's background gives the grungey shoegaze sounds on offer a heap more punch, taking influence from 90s artists like Swervedriver, as well newer school acts like Basement and Balance & Composure. Released via Perth hardcore crew Bad Noose, it's also their first foray into more indie-leaning side of things, and one listen will help you understand why they jumped on the release (click anywhere on the embedded player to get stuck in yourself). You can listen to it below, or just go and download it for free HERE.
